HBA Orange County held its first event as an affiliate on 15 May – Cocktails and Conversations. More than 65 men and women healthcare professionals attended with backgrounds ranging from biotech, pharmaceuticals, aesthetics, medical device and industry partners. The structure of the evening was two-fold: introduce the new Orange County affiliate board members and advisory board, followed by networking with fellow healthcare professionals.
Elle Hamilton, general manager, HBA Orange County, opened the evening by sharing the vision of the affiliate: make a measurable impact on gender parity in Orange County. Then, Laurie Hurt, director marketing, HBA Orange County, introduced the Orange County advisory board members. Meghan Barden, director operations, HBA Orange County, moderated the speed networking activity with many attendees. Rhythm Digital generously sponsored the food and venue. We look forward to our charter year as we work towards building an official HBA chapter and forge a strong network of members who stand for the advancement of women in the healthcare industry. Cheers to a successful inaugural event as we continue to encourage our members to invite friends in the industry to join and get involved in the HBA Orange County affiliate.
